Health Consultation (face to face or online video call available)
A discussion with me is the best place to start when aiming to understand your mind-bodys’ current state of health. Discussing your presenting ailments and symptoms can help draw a map to the root cause of your imbalances. Through traditional, clinical diagnostic methods such as pulse and tongue observation and taking a complete medical case history, the strength of digestion, level of toxins (ama) in the body and the location and nature of the root causes of “dis-ease” can be deduced. From here a healing journey can be designed specifically for your needs. You do not have to be “sick” in order to benefit from the wisdom of ayurveda. Routines and regimes can be created for you so that you can not only prevent disease but live within your natural cycles to feel true vitality.
This consultation will include recommended dietary guidelines, recipes, daily routines and a suggested herbal plan and body treatments. It will be emailed to you after your visit for you to print off and refer to at your leisure. A complimentary follow up phone call to answer any questions you may have about the plan is available to you. A follow-up consultation to discuss your progress is recommended 4-6 weeks after you have begun the outlined adjustments to your diet and lifestyle and have begun on the herbal protocol. This gives you opportunity to clarify any questions that may have arisen for you or to renew or alter your herbal script.
As your Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant I am here for you every step of the way on your journey back to perfect health with willingness and commitment to share my knowledge and understanding of this beautiful, ancient and holistic Science of Life: Ayurveda.

This tantalizing and tranquil, ancient ritual of Shirodhara done in silence soothes and invigorates the senses and the mind. Shirodhara means the dripping of oil like a thread (dhara) on the head (shiro), namely the third eye. A total feeling of wellness and mental clarity is experienced in this process. Working on the pineal and pituitary gland, it predominantly benefits the endocrine system and the central nervous system. This treatment is most suited to those afflicted with anxiety, insomnia, depression, stress or menopausal symptoms but can have positive effects for all for rejuvenating the spirit and balancing the body and mind. This treatment finishes with a grounding head massage.
Shirodhara performed in a consecutive series can have profound and positive effects on mental well-being.

A rejuvenating, full body therapeutic massage with warm, medicated oil specific for your needs. The flowing, rhythmic movement of the massage style stimulates the lymphatic system to expel toxins deep within the tissues and relieve muscle tension. It is believed that the effects of abhyanga are similar to those received when one is saturated with love. Sneha is the Sanskrit word that can be translated as both “oil” and “love”. Like the experience of feeling loved, abhyanga can give a deep feeling of stability and warmth. As a reiki master, I will also use the flow of “universal” energy and Tibetan symbols to help balance the subtler channels of the mind-body and remove emotional blocks where needed. This treatment is finished with a Swedana - a full body herbal steam therapy. By sitting in the steam box, head exposed to fresh air, you will detox through the pores opening from sweating which also allows oil to penetrate more deeply into nourish the tissues. You will feel calm, grounded and revitalised from the nourishing experience.

Marma literally means “vital energy house”. A marma point, of which there are 107 in the body, is defined as an anatomical site where the muscles, veins, ligaments, bones and joints come together. The marmas are pressed in a circular motion to balance the flow of energy by unblocking the channels in the body that have become affected by “dis-ease”, stagnation and stress. This treatment is finished with a Swedana - a full body herbal steam therapy.
Ayurvedic Powder Massage (Udvartana)
This massage therapy involves scrubbing the body using “Ubtan”, a traditional Indian paste that is a mixture of different natural herbs. It can be performed completely dry (ruksha) or with oil (snigadh) dependent on the persons' needs. The massage is performed in upward movements against the growth of hair to invigorate circulation and remove lymphatic toxins from the body and deeply exfoliate the skin. It is recommended for those high in kapha dosha; those who suffer with rheumatoid arthritis; it helps reduce excess cellulite and fat accumulated under the skin; it improves the glow of skin and can help with muscular weakness. A final full body steam at the end of the massage leaves the body feeling fresh, clear and rejuvenated.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force universal energy" flows through us. It helps to calm and balance the central nervous system. It works on the premise that emotions can affect the body at a metaphysical level and block the flow of energy and good health. By applying the hands on certain areas of the body and with the use of ancient symbols, energy or prana - life force - is assisted to flow more freely, removing stagnation, pain, illness and stress. As a Reiki Master of over 12 years, I revere this practice with great respect for the ability it has to help support the healing process for an individual by bringing awareness to emotions that can affect us at a physical level and also at a metaphysical/mental level.
